Upcoming workshop in New Haven Conn with Lisa Natoli Oct 11th Saturday
https://www.facebook.com/events/278919652306410/
Air Temple is thrilled to be having innovative NYC aerialist Lisa Natoli back for more workshops this fall!
Workshops are October 11th.
12:00 – 2:00
Silks Performance and Sequencing:
Have you gotten very good at taking class, acquired a lot of vocabulary, technique, and skill and are looking for a way to bridge the divide between class and performance? In this workshop we will work together to build a sequence using our experience to transfer skills from class to stage. Working with ideas of hanging, balancing, and falling, we will make connections between function and expression. We will work to stay open and alert, observing habits and tensions to make room to grow as mover and thinker.
Students should be comfortable inverting and wrapping in the air.
2:30 – 4:30
Research and Destroy on Silks/Rope:
This class is geared for aerialists with some experience under their belts.
Working with momentum and letting our bodies ask the questions so we can get out of our heads and go more deeply into our physicality.
We will concentrate on knowing our wraps and where the wraps can lead us to break habits and organize and build sequences more seamlessly.
Must be able to invert in the air again and again and execute a clean hip key. Geared for levels 350+

LANDSCRAPES
A lone wanderer trudges across the ruinous sprawl of a gutted metropolis with nothing but a shopping cart to contain the remnants of a bygone world. Through antic rituals of physical endurance and madcap artistry he endeavors to piece together the scraps of a fractured reality to find refuge in a new imagined world that is uniquely his own.
DISCORD
Lisa’s Bright Ideas strips down rope and lyra – exploring measure and value in discordant harmony, challenging the viewer to renegotiate their expectations.
