Lisa’s Bright Ideas is an aerial performance company based in Brooklyn. LBI has presented evening length performances since 2008 at various venues in Brooklyn including The Brooklyn Lyceum, MonkeyTown, Cantina Royal, The Gowanus Ballroom and Embody Language Studios. LBI has collaborated with musician Bob Hoffnar, photographer Henryk Spiess and video artist Andrew T. Foster.

To be famous isn’t decent, there’s
Nothing noble about it.
One shouldn’t start archives,
Tremble over manuscripts.

To be a parable on people’s lips

You draw towards yourself the love

I recently performed in an evening choreographed by Kristin Young at Aerial Arts NYC. It was a fantastic experience that challenged and elevated my endurance, skill, and technique while exploring unique and personal performance qualities.
I loved performing Kristin’s choreography and performing alongside the cast: Kristin Young, Susie Williams, and Joshua Dean.

This is one of my older pieces that has taken many variations in character. The act started as a romantic piece to a Portuguese love song. It was performed as a trio at the Brooklyn Lyceum to mariachi music. Eventually the character evolved into a coney island girl that eats the scarf to one up her act. Photos by Andrew T.
