ABOUT THIS SHOWS
Nostalgia Will Kill A Room is a collection of short movement essays in the air, on the floor, and in conversation, pondering the body as politic. The evening moves between mediums of theater, circus, dance and pedestrian antics, forming and fitting the confines of physical and mental space, while performing and informing process.
Created and performed by Lisa Natoli
Guest performer Heather Meyer

The Burden of the Disease
Symptoms of autoimmune diseases like fatigue, depression and anxiety are often rooted in the “burden of the disease.” People bear the emotional and financial weight of illness – of carrying the knowledge there’s something happening inside our bodies that we can’t control.
Created and performed by Marisa Lark Wallin

“The Dixon Place Lounge is open before and after the show, and you can bring your drink in the theater! Bar proceeds directly support DP’s artists and mission.”

New Orleans Aerial Workshop

Fly Circus Space
New Orleans

Sundays in September
Research and Destroy

https://www.facebook.com/events/337504723800912/
New-Orleans-LAmotion

Have you gotten very good at taking class, collected a lot of vocabulary, technique, and skill, but are looking for a way to bridge the divide between class and performing?
In this workshop we will use our experience to build sequences that transfer skills from class to stage. Working with ideas of hanging, balancing, and falling, we will make connections between form and function, remaining open and alert, while observing habits, assumptions and tensions, in order to make room for growth as a mover and thinker. We will research what the performer is drawing on and why.
Come use what you know to explore and create phrases (both rope and silks welcome!)

Sundays. September 8th, 15th. 29th. 12-2pm
Payment:
Venmo ironfanny / lnatoli@gmail.com

Cost:$50 if registered by Thursday before (09/05, 09/12. 09/26).
